Villa Grove Elementary visited Big Boy this morning before its departure south!
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Yesterday, we were made aware of a possible threat of violence and immediately instituted our Threat Assessment Protocol which involves our local police department through our School Resource Officer and a team of school staff.
The Villa Grove CUSD 302 administration and the Villa Grove Police Department feel confident that there was never a credible threat of violence against students. Nevertheless, student and staff safety is our top priority, and we will continue to closely monitor this situation out of an abundance of caution.
We understand that situations like these can be unsettling, but I assure you our district will always prioritize a safe and secure learning environment.
To close, we want to encourage you to talk to your child about the importance of alerting law enforcement or district administration about any threats of violence or safety concerns at school.

Welcome, Class of 2037! We would like to introduce all of you as our future Blue Devils during our Fall Kick-Off, Blue and Gold Night. Please join us on Friday, August 23rd, for a ‘fun run’ on the football field! At approximately 6:45 pm, all kindergartners will run out of the inflatable football helmet across the field.
Details.....please bring your child to the south end of the football field by 6:30 so we can get them organized for the run, dressed in VG or Blue/Gold if possible. We are asking parents to then stand at the north end to collect your child after the run.
This is a fun evening to meet our fall athletes and get a preview of our volleyball and football teams. A full schedule is listed below. This is a free event for the community, however Gatorade is collected for the football team if you would like to bring some.

International Day of Aces!!!! On the first Wednesday in May millions of students around the world exercise simultaneously. PreK - high school students participated today at 10:00 am. May is physical education and sport month - way to kick it off VG!!!!
Tonight is the band and choir concert for all 5th thru high school. Students are to arrive by 6pm. Doors to new gym will open at 6:45 for audience and concert starts at 7pm. Hope to see you all there!
