Officer Descriptions

Science Club Officer Roles:

President: The president will be expected to take an active role in leading meetings, collections of papers, fundraising money and guiding the direction of the club. The president is expected to contribute ideas and will be responsible for enacting them. The president is expected to be present at every meeting, officer meeting and event sponsored by the science club.

Vice President:  The vice president is expected to assist the president in leading science club meetings. They are to assist the president in their daily duties and will act as a tie breaker in the event of tied votes. The vice president is expected to be present at every meeting, officer meeting and event sponsored by the science club.

Secretary: The primary role of the secretary is to record the minute of the meeting. These can be taken during each meeting and will then be typed and submitted to Ms. Cler within 24 hours of the meeting. The secretary is expected to be present at every meeting, officer meeting and event sponsored by the science club.

Treasurer: The treasurer is responsible for keeping track of the science club budget. Their responsibilities include working with Mrs. Alexander in the HS office to track the progress of the account, determine the costs of projects and activities and help coordinate fundraisers when necessary. The treasurer will present financial reports to the sponsors and officers at officer meetings. The treasurer is expected to be present at every meeting, officer meeting and event sponsored by the science club.
