Mr. Baumann is planning on offering Anthropology next Fall. If you would like to sign up for the class, please see Mr. Sims. Keep in mind you will not have a study hall by taking this class. Juniors and Seniors will receive priority when signing up and if there are spots left, Sophomores can enroll as long as their grades show they do not need a study hall. This is the course description:
This course is an introduction to the discipline of anthropology as a whole. Anthropology brings to the forefront an enhanced awareness and understanding of human similarities and differences essential for people preparing to take their place in the increasingly interconnected world of the twenty-first century. Students will receive a theoretical grounding in the four major subfields: archaeology, biological anthropology, cultural anthropology, and linguistics. The course will focus on an understanding of social, economic, political, and ritual organization of societies based chiefly on comparative study of various traditional societies.

Reminder:  Those of you interested in being a part of Student Council next year, please e-mail Mrs. Jones by NOON TODAY (5/18).

Our school is planning on offering Biology 2 next Fall. If you are interested in signing up, please see Mr. Sims by the end of this week. Here are a few details on what the class covers:  The Biology 2 course concentrates on the study of Ecology, Plants & Animals. Botany involves learning about the structures of plants while Zoology focuses on the various animal groups. Ecology focuses on the interactions amongst organisms and the environment. This class utilizes lectures, laboratory activities, dissections, group presentations, and field trips to emphasize the major scientific concepts.

A necklace was found in the elementary music room. Please see Ms. Cardiff to claim.

7th hour choir students will need to meet in the elementary music room for their final on Tuesday, May 22nd.

Mr. Sims is taking PSAT/NMSQT reservations for next Fall. This test is for next year's Juniors.
