A peek at the week...

Reading: This week we will look at Unit 2, Week 3. Our stories this week are called Every Vote Counts, Vote!, and A Plan for the People. There will be a Reading test on Friday over Vote!

The essential question: How do people make government work?

The genre: expository text

The comprehension skill: author's point of view

The phonics/spelling skill: words with silent letters

The grammar skill: special nouns


English: This week we will look at special nouns. Some nouns have special plural forms. They do not add -s or -es to form a plural. Collective nouns name groups of people, places, animals, or things. A few plural nouns have the same singular and plural forms. A few plural nouns change spellings but do not add -s or -es.


Spelling: This week we will look at words with silent letters. There will be a Pretest today and a Test on Friday!


Math: This week we will continue to look at Module 2. We will look at Lessons 10-11. We will complete the Mid-Module Study Guide on Wednesday. The Mid-Module Test will be on Thursday!

Science: We will continue Chapter 2: How Animals Live.

Social Studies: none


AR: Read, read, read! The 2nd Quarter deadline to earn 15 points is on December 21st!
